Novi digital wallet app has been launched by Facebook in small pilot in Guatemala and in USA except for Alaska, Nevada, New York, and the US Virgin Islands.
According to its website, the purpose of the pilot is for them to affirm their operational readiness and show that their systems, such as our customer care response, compliance program, and core feature functions, are serving customers well.
With the use of Novi, people can send and receive money easily using a mobile phone for free. It will surely help a lot of people with its convenience, secure and real time transfer.
It is using USDP (Pax Dollar) through their partnership with Paxos and Coinbase. One USDP is equivalent to 1 US Dollar. Though it is USDP, once the money has been sent, user can withdraw money on their local currency.
The reason they chose Coinbase is to be able for them to provide custody solutions for the secure storage of our customers’ funds.
Moreover, it has a flexibility to connect or interoperate with other digital wallets. It has also a 24/7 in-app chat support in English and Spanish.
Even though it has been launched by Facebook, user account under Novi is separated from Facebook account.
