Find church that will truly build your Faith. Church is not just a building where you pray; but Church is a group of believers, it’s the people.
You are now looking for a church. Possibly you want more enlightenment. Or you are looking for a church which you will feel the Love of God, where peace resonates on your body and soul.
Some Christians normally jump from one church to another for some reason. They are looking for a better preaching; for a life inspired sermon. Some are looking for a belief system that will meet their personality.
Most Christian churches of today are still in traditional ways. Some of them are more on rituals and more on legalistic point of view. Other denominations became exclusive where if they left the church they are not saved. While others are on pure Gospel of Grace.
For me the Church that will surely bless or make you shine and live an abundant life is the Church that is built in Christ foundation. Pointing everything to the Cross; of what Jesus did on the Cross, rather than working to be saved. Remember that the Bible teaches that it is only through faith and not by our works as stated in Ephesians 2:8-9 and using Romans 8:38-39, Paul said that “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
The choice is still yours. Possibly based on who you are.
Here are some of the things you can do to check the perfect church for you.
1.) Pray – This is our ultimate weapon on this world. As a Christian, the Holy Spirit is in you. So use this power of prayer to connect with our God and to lead you in a church where you will grow.
2.) Look for the Denomination – There are many denominations out there. It can be Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Grace, Full Grace, Pentecostal, and so on. So choose wherever you feel better.
3.) Be At Peace – Peace is our ultimate guide. Why? Because our spirit is perfect. The holy spirit in us is powerful as I mentioned earlier; that is why you need to walk by faith and in spirit.
4.) Know Your Belief System – Based on my experience, human nature is the same. It is only our relationship with God that matters most. People on the church are not perfect too; so, you need determine what you really believe. Church is founded for spiritual growth and not a burden to us. If a church makes you stressful, then it’s time to find a better one.
5.) Worship Style – There are churches that are lively or charismatic while others are solemn or combination of both? Are you jolly who wants lively people or are you more on solemn songs? That’s the thing you need to consider in finding your church.
6.) Know the churches ministries or programs – All churches have it. From worship to usher, to kids, to communication, to healing, etc. If you are more into serving, then it’s time to know their programs and ministries.
7.) Attire – Know the rules. Hmm… I’ve been into many churches already but I prefer something that is more suited for worshiping God. Though God is looking into our hearts then I believe you need to dress up for God. The one that you feel comfortable! If the church is more on legalistic and you cannot conform to it, then it’s time seek more. I believe, God will lead you into the path that will suit yourself.
8.) Attend a Church then decide – Remember that in this life the most important is your relationship with God. So keep on attending church then rate it. Once your ratings satisfy you, then stay unto it.
9.) No Perfect Church – I will tell you that in this life on Earth, there is no perfect Church. Only God is perfect. The most important thing is enjoy your journey in Christ. Network with other Christians and make friends within the Church. Soon you can find your circle of friends where you can build trust and confidence.
10.) Celebrate – Once you found the Church that fits for you, celebrate. Reward yourself.
Always remember God loves you. It’s a simple statement. But it’s meaningful. It will keep you away from any harm, it bring sweets and joy for every victory, and it let you enjoy your journey on eternity.
