Going to Singapore from Philippines has been easier now under Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) program starting March 4, 2022. That means there is a quarantine-free travel which Filipino tourists going to Singapore will enjoy their visit as long as they are fully vaccinated and comply with other requirements and conditions below.

As long as you meet the criteria and conditions of VTL (Air) which you can found in Singapore’s ICA (Immigration and Checkpoint Authority) website, you will enjoy a hassle-free flight.  

This article will surely help you how to go to Singapore under VTL program for this year 2022.

Below are the requirements you need to accomplish to enjoy a safe and healthier travel going to Singapore for Filipino traveler.

  • Fully Vaccinated (2 shots)
    • The travellers have received the full regimen of World Health Organization (WHO) EUL vaccine at least 14 days or two weeks before arriving in Singapore. Minor travellers who are below 12 years can also travel to Singapore as long as accompanied by an adult with fully-vaccinated under VTL Air.
    • Proof of vaccination came from Philippine government (VaxCertPH) issued by Philippine Department of Health (DOH) or proof of vaccination Trace Together App / Health Hub App or vaccination certificate/s issued by Singapore Ministry of Health.
  • VTL Air Booking Flight: Flight booking (two way trip) should be booked under VTL flight. To know the complete list please click HERE. For the travel history travellers must have only been to the Philippines, or travelled to / transited via any VTL countries or region or Category I countries or regions, and/or Singapore, in the last 7 days before departure for Singapore.
  • Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP): Since March 1, 2022 VTP has been started. It is valid for 13 days. When you are planning to go to Singapore March 4, your VTP is valid for March 4-17. If it expires, do not worry if you haven’t travelled to Singapore, you can reapply again. VTP is free of charge and it is only mandatory for work permit holder and short term visitors.   • COVID 19 Negative Swab Tests Result
    • Pre-Departure (From Philippines) : 48 hours before your flight, you should have your COVID 19 Test whether PCR Test or Supervised Antigen-Rapid Test (ART). It should be negative.
    • Upon Arrival in Singapore: You should do an ART test 24 hours as you landed in Singapore. You need to book for your test in any Quick Test Centre (QTC) or Combined Test Centre (CTC)
  • COVID 19 Insurance: This insurance is totally different from the flight insurance in any airline company when you book your ticket. COVID 19 insurance should have a minimum S$30,000 Singapore dollars coverage. You can consider CHUBB by clicking HERE.
  • SG Arrival Card: This is the embarkation card in Singapore which you normally filled up before the Immigration. Now you need to submit and generate it 3 days before your flight. Click HERE.
  • Trace Together App: Please download “Trace Together App” before for your flight using your smartphone (Android and IOS). This is a must in Singapore for contact tracing.
  • OTHER DOCUMENTS NEEDED:
    • Passport
    • Certificate of Employment, Company ID for employed or Business Permits
    • Hotel Booking. If you do not have any hotel booking and you are invited by a relative or friends, please provide a letter plus the copy VISA (SPass, Employment Pass, Singapore National ID) of the person who invited you.

Important Reminders:

  • Once you landed to Singapore, you are not allowed to use Public Transportation such as MRT or Bus if you haven’t receive the COVID 19 test result yet. If you book your hotel in Jewel or within Changi airport vicinity, go straight to your hotel. If your hotel is within the city, you need ride a Grab or private taxi.
  • You are only allowed to use the public transportation once your COVID 19 test result is confirmed negative.
  • Fully-vaccinated recovered travellers may qualify for exemption from COVID-19 tests. Please refer to this link for more information.
  • During the Immigration interview, just be honest always. Normally they will just want to know your purpose of travel. As a short term visitor of course you are just exploring the very nice island of Singapore.
