How I see the future of delivery system worldwide.
When I am starting to look for a business opportunity, I see potentials in retail market. After more than 6 years in Singapore as a Business Intelligence Analyst, I decided to stay here in the Philippines for the mean time. Then I observed the e-commerce business is really a must in our country. The top e-commerce now in my country is Shopee and Lazada. These platforms are helping us to find the products we want online very easy.
What I learned and observed in Singapore is most of the projects and businesses deliver their products and services on time including the customer service. My story on my MAC Air which I bought from Apple store shows how great their customer service in Singapore. Turnaround time to reply for my concern is very fast plus the warranty of the laptop has lapsed for one day and still they gave a free of charge for the change of motherboard. Then I brought my laptop in Jewel and it took a couple of hours for that day be repaired. This is so fast!
My situation in our country now is far more beyond the future of technology. I do not have much control on the business processes and government services for all Filipino citizens. The only thing that I can do is to pray.
There’s a small improvement especially on the administration of our beloved former President Duterte. I admire the focus of his administration on the improvement of transportation and the build build build projects. This is one of the greatest accomplishments in the Philippines. Fast and efficient transportation is one of the things a country should have to deliver the products and services on time. This will help our country to attain the success we want to. Kudos to the management and administration teams of former President Duterte. Hope that our beloved President Bongbong Marcos, Jr will continue this good start and good initiative in our country.
Now that technology plays an increasingly role in our society worldwide. I dreamed of a delivery system using drone. This drone-delivery system will be a big help in the Philippines once materialised and become effective and efficient in other countries. Philippines is an archipelago and I believe with the use of drones; products can be delivered also in faster way compares to land-based delivery system.
Now that Amazon is preparing to launch the Drone-Delivery System in California, I believe that a lot of companies will follow. This is so exciting.
Hope in the future I can create a company that will use this technology for many of my fellow Filipin0s (“kababayan”) to get the products they want in rural areas. Or on the other hand, there will be companies who can solved issues to address the “slow” action to consumer complaints.
