Wisdom is the primary purpose of this blog. So, I decided to accumulate wisdom in our present time and get wisdom from the Bible. Of course, the two characters in the Bible that have the most influential, most game changer of all time, and whom I impacted are Solomon and of course as a born-again Christian, my savior, Jesus Christ.
It is my habit to get more good things on this planet rather than focusing with the negative news over TV and even on social media. It’s like it is more toxins and more pollutions in my mind. So, I decided to acquire more good things in life and what are the good things I have to contribute and add value to our planet.
While I am looking for opportunity to start and reach my goal which is to earn at least S$1,000 a month online, I was hook with Karen Davila’s YouTube account. The title of the video which is so engaging is “Why Ian is super dad?”.
It took me half an hour to finish the whole video.
Here are the Wisdom I got from Ian’s interview. All quoted lines below were from Ian.
- The time he accepted his daughter as lesbian, it reminds me of the verse from the Bible (see the exact verse in Matthew 7:11 below). It gives me a notion that if Ian is good or great dad how much more our heavenly father (God) be better or best to humanity. This makes me more optimistic for many people who is being judged and make fun with the members of LGBTQ+.
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” – Matthew 7:11
- In parenting, Ian said that his children have their own lives and he will not dictate what they really want in life. “We have our lives to live and they have their lives”, Ian said.
- “They could grow their wings so that they can fly high”. This statement should be observed by many fathers worldwide. Supporting your sons and daughters on their endeavor is one of the sweetest things you could ever give. Actually, there is a small part of my heart that says, “Hope he is my dad!” But I know and I believe that God gave me my own biological father for a reason and I am grateful for that. I just stated that because I admire Ian as a father. Hopefully if God will give me daughters and sons hopefully, I can apply some of Ian’s wisdom.
- “Draco has a beautiful mind”. This showed how optimistic he is. He saw potential and good things to his daughter and sons. If Ian Veneracion will invite me to their house for sure, I will talk to Draco most of the time. I want to talk to someone who has an awesome mind, too.
- Ian is adventurous. I see myself as man of adventure also. I love to travel and I love to try more good things on this planet. I tried water rafting, meeting with strangers all over the world, winning bowling tournament in Singapore, etc.
- “I think every person should try everything talaga… You do not need to be an expert.” Again, I will quote another Bible verse; “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me” – Philippians 4:13
- “Nang pinanganak ako, isa lang ako… Pero nagcontribute ako sa mundo ng tatlong compassionate, kind, and intelligent human being.” This is the part where I am hoping that want to meet Karen Davila and Ian in person. Hopefully they can be both guests to my YouTube channel. The reason is they are both intelligent and compassionate people.
- “Isang smile lang nila, ang saya mo na… pag sinimangutan ka nila parang… depressed.” On this, Ian showed his fullest love to his daughter.
- Ian’s analogy in life completes all the members. It shows how Ian Veneracion is a family-oriented man.
- Draco is his brain. When Draco came, he became organized and he makes plan.
- Deeds (Deirdre) [Please correct me is Deeds is the correct spelling using the comment below] is my heart.
- Duccio is hi lungs. He wants me to make my life live longer.
- Pam is his skin that holds Ian together.
- “Madali mambabae… Kahit sino pwedeng maging babaero. There’s nothing cool about it. If you are sticking to the one that is meant for you, that is the right path. It takes to be more man to be like that.” This statement makes Ian a faithful husband to his wife.
At the end of the video, Ian put gist that a father should devote time with his children and his family. This is the real essence of being a man of substance.
The whole conversation of Ian and Karen is worth meaningful to watch especially if you are a father and a husband or even a good person who is very hungry with positivity in life. The interview gives value and good insights in life.
