A Filipino actor shines in Netflix series, Squid Game. His name is Christian Lagahit. He played player 276. He is in Episode 4, “Stick to the Team” where they play tug of war game.

To know more about Ian, below are some facts about him.

  • He is a teacher and data analyst in Korea
  • He was part of “The Negotiation” film in 2018 where he co-star Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin
  • He is close with one of the actors of Squid Game, “Ali”. Abdul Ali was played by Anupam Tripathi. Ali is a Pakistan foreign worker who join the game for his family after his employer refuses to pay him.

  • He auditioned to the role of Ali.
  • Her acting in Korea is a mere accident. He narrated in GMA news that it’s just happened. He was invited in one of the set then the director scolded him which at first he didn’t understand Korea. Then eventually, that director asked the staff to give him a role.

Squid Game series on Netflix ranked as number one and became viral on social media. It’s a breath-taking movie which has been compared with Hunger Games.

Lagahit mentioned that he was not expecting that Squid Games will be a big hit.
