As a child my dream before is to go down the mountain (I lived in the mountain when I was young) to see other good things in other places including Manila. Manila is so famous in our town because of many good stories from other people within our community like tall buildings, better infrastructures, malls, and big grocery stores. With that I became curious of other places outside the mountain environment where I lived.
I would say that other people love to live in our area because of the fresh air and peaceful lives. Most of our neighbors there are Mangyans. Mangyans are indigenous people in Mindoro. That is where my dream to be a philanthropist started. I want to help others and travel the world including the Mangyan tribe. Actually, I, together with my former company and together with my family, are doing outreach program yearly for the Mangyan.
My aspiration to help, ignited when I want to finish my degree in college when I was studying at Batangas State University. I finished my two years scholarships and my family cannot afford to continue my studies. Then by God’s grace someone helped me from PLDT (Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company. That woman who paid all my tuition fees and allowances burned my desire to help other people who need some help.
I just tell to myself that I will help other people to reach their dreams once I finish my course.
After I studied Information Management, an Information Technology (IT) related course, another challenge needs to face; finding the right company I want to serve. Indeed, it is tough because majority of the companies want to hire someone who has an experience. My dream job before is to work in a bank. But God did not give it to me at first. It took me 3 companies before I landed my job in a bank; but the waiting is very worthy.
During my work in a bank, I got the best compensation ever and became an IT Head. I have my insurance, my free food, my free lodging, my free uniform, and free allowances. That’s the time I decided to pay it forward. I helped children from World Vision. It was very joyful and meaningful.
After my work as an IT Head, I tried working in a university in Batangas City as an IT Professor. It is one of the most heroic jobs in the world but I want more. I want to experience life of richness and hi-tech environment; I want to go abroad. Then I became a Business Intelligence Analyst in Singapore.
My work as a Business Intelligence in Singapore made me tough enough to seek God and be the person who I am now. I learn how to treat people well and of course be very courageous to say “No” and adjust myself because the culture there is so dynamic. I earn my first ever multiple 7-figure (in Php) income for 6 years.
From that experience, I got this passion of helping others. That is the primary motive of creating a Youtube channel. I can teach more people in life, managing money and resources, and how to use technology efficiently.
Ahead of me are mountains of challenge to help other people in making this world a better place to live; for my country, for my fellow citizen, for my family, and for myself. Being a philanthropist in the future is the best gift from God where I can help more people.
